PermeGear In-Line Cells are made from Daikin CTFE or polychlorotrifluoroethylene.
The trade name for this plastic when 3M had the manufacturing rights was "Kel-F 81". Daikin Industries, Ltd. recently purchased the rights to manufacture this plastic and markets it under the trade name "Neoflon".
The grade we use is M400H. This plastic is ideal for diffusion cells studies because it has low moisture absorption and is resistant to the adverse effects of many chemicals and solvents. It also has excellent machinabilty and physical properties.
